Organic Heather honey is characterized by its dark brown appearance with reddish highlights. Its consistency is very thick, its aroma distinct, and its taste woody, floral, and powerful. It leaves notes of fresh fruit and caramel on the finish, as well as a slight bitterness.
This monofloral honey is produced from the nectar of the pink flowers of Heather, a plant with a very fragrant bloom. This flowering generally occurs between late June and July, depending on the altitude. This 100% organic and natural honey is harvested in France, in the high altitudes of the Pyrenees.
Organic Heather honey is very rich in trace elements and minerals, making it an ideal ally for the body. It is also known for soothing joint pain and treating urinary system disorders.
